Anubis Gate, who hail from Aalborg, Denmark, started recording their 6th album, Horizons, back in 2013, and are releasing it on April 15, 2014. Nightmare Records have sent me one of the new tunes from the upcoming album titled “Never Like This.
The song starts off with clean vocals, big bass lines, followed by dreamy keyboards. I can't help but think of Bono from the band U2, (who started their rise in the music scene in the 1980's). This song is full of smooth transitions, and has good recording quality.

Progressively modern tones of decades gone by with heart stomping melodious groove stomps throughout the song is very reminiscent of the classic hard rock wave of bands from the '80's era. I always find it interesting to come across bands who manage to create their own unique twist of eclectic 70's and 80's sound with their own branding.

For those who love to discover old rock bands, but want to hear up to date sounds, you will undoubtedly love Anubis Gate.
