- Xavier Cattarinich, Metal Master Kingdom | Full review here. |
We are delighted to share At Dawn's Edge "Sightless" song video premiere with fans of atmospheric orchestral metal. "Sightless" is the follow-up release to At Dawn's Edge debut video supporting the song "Evil Flamingo" (which has garnered over 20,000 views) from their recent album Through Glass Eyes released in September 2017.
What others have to say:
"... At Dawn’s Edge were capable of drawing influences from so many distinct types of music, putting all of them together and creating fresh and captivating metal in Through Glass Eyes without sounding cheesy, convoluted or over the top."
- Headbanging Moose
"... Some gorgeous female vocal work is an effective change of pace for the usual djent/progressive riffing patterns – and paired with the video, gives a more epic and sprawling vision..."
- Dead Rhetoric
About (provided by At Dawn's Edge):
At Dawn's Edge's nuanced mix of groovy riffs, orchestral and electronic elements, led by the haunting voice of Tamara Filipovic, is gripping the Canadian metal scene with their signature heavy, yet beautiful sound. Their debut release, Through Glass Eyes (September 30th, 2017) has been met with praise for their diverse, atmospheric and multi-layered compositions.
IT ALL STARTED WITH A VISION...
Mixing the beautiful and the heavy. Enamoured by the grandiose sound of orchestral arrangements and cultural motifs, yet unwilling to part with the aggressive and electronic qualities of metal, At Dawn's Edge relentlessly pushes the bounds of groove and symphony. After the release of their first EP in May, 2015, titled First Contact, At Dawn’s Edge promoted it throughout Eastern Ontario and Quebec, Canada.
They've played in Montreal with local big acts such as Karkaos, a show organized in part by Maple Metal Records, as well as having the opportunity to open for The Agonist, and Sonata Arctica in Toronto. 2017 brought forth a new look, and a new sound to their upcoming debut album, Through Glass Eyes, and now the band is preparing to extend their sonic reach to an international audience.
