| Blog author: Alex Stojanovic Well, I'll be damned!! It's an announcement that NO one saw coming, although many had hoped for. Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will be coming back together as Rush for a 50th anniversary tour in 2026 dubbed Fifty Something, consisting of two nights in select cities, with a couple of single nights too. The biggest question on everyone's mind is of course: Who is on drums? Who could they possibly get to play the Professor's parts. Well, the answer is Anika Nilles; a german drummer who has played with Jeff Beck and many others. You know that if you played with guys like Jeff Beck, your reputation speaks for itself, and Anika is a phenomenal talent. The tour is set to consist of a few select cities across the U.S, Canada and Mexico, with some cities hosting two nights, and others having just a single night. The tour is set to begin on Jun 7 and 9 in Los Angeles, and run for 12 shows before wrapping up on Sep 19 in Cleveland (the city that broke Rush in 1974). The show will follow standard Rush form with two sets and so many songs, including a segment where they pay tribute to Neil, which is necessary. The dates are down below.
