| Blog author: Alex Stojanovic Last month, Megadeth surprised the world by announcing that the band's upcoming album will be their final album and will be heading out on one last world tour (yeah, we've heard this before plenty of times). The album will be self-titled (I had a strong feeling that it was going to be self-titled when they announced the farewell), and has a few other interesting points about it. It is to be released on January 23, which interestingly enough is one day after the 10th anniversary of the release of Dystopia, and it will be their first album since Endgame to feature James Lomenzo on bass, and first (and only) to feature Teemu Mantysaari on guitar. The simplistic artwork can be seen down below, which see Vic Rattlehead on fire, giving a heavy implication of the end. While we wait for the track listing to be revealed, the music video for the first official single from the album is now available down below. The song is called "Tipping Point" and brings the old school thrash vibes of Peace Sells, the simplistic groove of Countdown To Extinction, and with a bit of the odd song structure format of Rust In Peace. |
