Blog author: Alex Stojanovic Well, this came right out of nowhere, and what a surprising announcement for the start of 2025. After a full decade, Exodus have once again parted ways with Steve "Zetro" Souza. The reasoning for doing so remains unknown, but I guess we will find out soon enough, right? That being said, the band have welcomed back Rob Dukes to the fold, and he will record vocals on the upcoming record. At this point, if there was anyone more fitting to take Zetro's place, Dukes is the only logical choice because of the familiarity aspect. |
"Announcement!
EXODUS have parted ways with Steve "Zetro" Souza. We thank Steve for his years fronting the band and all the killer music we made during that time. We wish him only the best in the future and much success with anything he does.
And please help us welcome Rob Dukes back to EXODUS! We are beyond stoked to have Rob back ripping up the stage with us and he's looking forward to crushing everything like only he can.
Next chapter begins, new record rolls along as planned and the beatings will continue.
See you soon,
EXODUS"
There seems to have always been a split between Zetro fans and Dukes fans, but then there's fans who love both. I'm definitely in the latter as both are awesome vocalists in their own ways, and have made killer records with the band. Although this is very much like the scenario where Dukes recorded demo vocals for Blood In, Blood Out, then was let go and Zetro came back, and ended up recording vocals on that album. It seems like that scenario has now been repeated, just in reverse. Either way, we also wish Zetro the best, and we look forward to hearing how Dukes will sound on the upcoming record.
