It has been five long years since we last got new music from Testament, but the long wait is now ending because the Bay Area thrash legends have revealed the details regarding their long-awaited new album.  The album is titled Para Bellum, and will be released on October 10 through Nuclear Blast Records.

The artwork, created by none other than Eliran Kantor, as well as the track listing can all be seen down below, and pre-orders are available now.  This is the band's first album to feature drummer Chris Dovas, who stepped in after Dave Lombardo lasted for only a year and before that, Gene Hoglan.  This guy is only 26 years old, and is following up Lombardo, Hoglan, Paul Bostaph, John Tempesta and Louie Clemente, which is NOT an easy task, but he has definitely proved himself because Testament is keeping him around.

It's a good time to be a Trivium fan, because in addition to tipping their hats to their history by celebrating 20 years of Ascendancy on the Poisoned Ascendancy Tour with Bullet For My Valentine, which ended abruptly, the Florida boys are also marching forward, and in doing so, they announced a brand new 3-song EP titled Struck Dead, due for release October 31.

This will be the band's first offering of new music in four years since In The Court Of The Dragon, ​marking the longest gap since new music was released by Trivium. as they never took more than 3 years between releases.  The EP will serve as a holdover until a new full-length album arrives in 2026.
