Back in 2015, Metal Allegiance, featuring Alex Skolnick, David Ellefson, Mike Portnoy and Mark Menghi, released a phenomenal debut album featuring a ton of guest vocalists and lead guitarists.  That album was my album of the year that year.  Ever since then, we were all wondering if there would be a second album.  After the success of the first one, a second album was in the works.  After three long years, the band's sophomore album is ready and the details have been revealed.

​The album will be titled Volume II: Power Drunk Majesty, and it will be released on September 7th via Nuclear Blast Records.  The album was produced by Alex Skolnick and Mark Menghi, while Mark Lewis of MRL Studios did the mixing and mastering, and the artwork, which can be seen on the left, was created by Marcelo Vasco and Rafael Tavares.

Much like the first album, there will be a bunch of special guests appearing on the album.  Down below, you will see which vocalist will appear on each track.

It's been 13 years since the last album, but Eric Peterson from Testament is finally ready to release the new Dragonlord album Dominion.  The last album Black Wings Of Destiny came out in 2005, and since then, Eric's been really busy with Testament as they've released three KILLER new studio albums with Alex Skolnick back on guitar, but in between the hectic touring and recording schedule with Testament, he has been writing the music for Dominion, and it will finally see the light of day on September 21st through Spinefarm Records.

​The recording lineup for Dominion includes Eric himself on vocals, guitars and bass, Lyle Livingston on orchestrated keys and piano, Alex Bent of Trivium on drums, and Leah on female vocals and choirs.  Down below, you can see the cover artwork and the track listing.

The album was recorded at Trident Studios and produced by Eric with the help of Juan Urteaga and was mastered by none other than Jens Bogren.  Apparently, there's also a Dragonlord comic book series titled The Burner scheduled to be released during this year's Comic-Con in San Diego.

Just because Udo Dirkschneider has been busy touring the world over the last couple of years playing Accept songs for the very last time, that doesn't mean he has forgotten about U.D.O..  Matter of fact, the band have announced the release and the details of their sixteenth studio album.

The new album will be titled Steelfactory, sounds like a sequel to Steelhammer (2013), and will be released on August 31st through AFM Records.  Down below, you can see the album artwork and the track listing.  Pre-orders for the album are available now by clicking here.

Are you excited for new U.D.O.?

​REVOCATION will be touring in support of their upcoming album, The Outer Ones. Set for release on September 28th via Metal Blade Records, The Outer Ones sees the band pushing both the death metal and progressive elements of their signature sound harder than ever before. 

​This fall, REVOCATION will head out on the road for their first North American headlining tour in several years. The trek will begin September 17th and run through October 20th. Support will be provided by Exhumed, Rivers Of Nihil, and Yautja. See confirmed dates below.

By now, you've all heard the news that Dee Snider is coming out with a metal album this summer called For The Love Of Metal, which will be released on July 27th through Napalm Records.  Today, the first taste of the record is available with the track "Tomorrow's No Concern".  The lyric video for the track can be streamed down below.

This track is nothing short of "balls-out, heavy".  I'm loving the riffs in here.  Vocally, Dee is sounding fantastic.  Looking forward to hearing this whole album.

We are one week away from the release of Tremonti's fourth studio album A Dying Machine, which will be released worldwide next Friday, June 8th on Napalm Records.  To celebrate, the band have decided to give us another taste of the record with the track "As The Silence Becomes Me", which you can stream down below.

After three heavy tracks, this one is more of a ballad, but it's still got an epic chorus and some sweet melodies.  Take a listen for yourself and see what you think.
