Right from the opening title track, we're met with a heap of memorable hooks and choruses. This is undoubtedly one of the best tracks of the band's career, and for it to be the flagship song of the record is deserving. We all know that this is the type of music that is designed to bring about positive vibes and lift spirits. Speaking of which, the track "Gotta Keep Your Head Up" does exactly that, giving those going through tough times a reminder to always look ahead and keep a positive mindset. I mean, Harry Hess' vocals have that ability, and combine that with the guitar magic of Pete Lesperance, you got some pure melodic rock magic. That magic continues with tracks like "In A Bad Way", "Reliving History" and "Understand It All". The only slow ballad we get on the album is "World On Fire". It adds a nice dynamic on what is already a really driving and upbeat album.
The dynamic duo of Harry Hess and Pete Lesperance has always captivated me with how they work as both vocalists and as songwriters. Their vocal harmonies propel them to the forefront of every song. Even if not every song hits the mark, there's plenty to love here if you are a fan of big hooks and memorable songs. After a pretty long gap between albums, Harem Scarem returned in a big way with one of 2025's most potent rock albums in Chasing Euphoria.
